FACULTY and FRIENDS DEATHS

Benjamin H. Evans, 70, died 6/27/97. He was an emeritus professor of architecture, having taught at Virginia Tech from 1975-1993. He was an international specialist in architectural design using daylight and natural air movement, and established facilities for this work in the college's Environmental Systems Laboratories.

Charles Oehring, died 6/22/97. He was associate professor emeritus of mathematics, and had taught in the Tech mathematics department for 27 years. Memorial gifts can be made in his name to the Mathematics Award Fund, 460 McBryde Hall, for textbook scholarships for needy students.
